The Temple
We attended the Draper Temple open house last Saturday and it was a great experience. I was excited to be able to show Emma the inside of a temple. She's always asking me what it's like inside. So it was neat to be able to go through it with her and explain what happens when we go to the temple. Both Emma and Rachel loved the baptismal font. Emma wanted to go swimming in it and Rachel kept trying to sneak underneath the rope blocking the entrance to the font to "touch the water." It was an awesome day (oh, and did I mention the fun bus ride from the parking lot to the temple that the girls were thrilled with?). I'm glad the church provides open houses so that kids and people who aren't members can see what this great work is all about. We are so blessed to have so many beautiful temples close by.

Battling the Baby Bulge
I started an exercise program this past week. Gotta shed that baby weight! Goal: to lose 20 pounds, but I'd be happy with ten. I'm putting this on my blog so that when you see me you can ask me how the exercise is coming along. You know, keep me on my toes and hold me accountable. :)
Family Pictures
While I was in Texas visiting my family, we hired a photographer to take pictures of us for a few hours. It was a blast! We just laughed and had so much fun being together. I told Ben we need to do it with our own little family. Maybe this spring...(if it ever gets here!) Anyway, here are a few (of the 163) that I loved.

The photographer also took a few of Luke. I love this kid so much! Those eyelashes just kill me! And I finally got a feet picture...hooray.

Texas
My trip to San Antonio last week was awesome! I enjoyed the sunny 70 degree weather (I'm now very tempted to move there), relaxed with my baby, and LOVED being with my family. We were able to attend the temple together and do ordinances for a few of our ancestors. It was such a neat experience! It was so great to see Cameron again. And there was no newly returned missionary weirdness (you know what I'm talking about, right?). He is the same fun, great guy.
With Granby (my mom)

Aah--to be outside. Building up my stores of Vitamin D before returning to the arctic tundra.

My brother, Cameron, meets his newest nephew. Cameron is so good with babies!

The "Lion King" pose. Isn't my Simba adorable?

We are all big Seinfeld lovers. My brother, Paul, has the entire series on DVD and we watched some of it. Here are the boys.

I played Wii for the first time ever (I know, I know, I'm WAY behind on things) and it was a blast! I'm tempted to get one. Here's my mom and sister facing off in tennis. Notice the win/lose poses in the first picture.

My little nephew, Paul--is he not the cutest kid ever? He enjoyed tummy time with Luke.

Dad with little Paul

We can't forget the good food, right? My brother, Paul, and his wife Krista make the best deep-dish pizzas. Yum!
