Rachel is 2!

Rachel had a birthday--shout HOORAY! We met at a local park to celebrate with family and friends. It was tons of fun!

I made a shoe cake which did not turn out too well, but nobody gave me TOO much of a hard time about it (well, except for Uncle Dave). :) Rachel will never remember anyway, right? It was a fun night.

Sold for $900!

At the end of August, Ben sold his '89 Nissan Maxima for a whopping $900! The man who bought it paid full price in cash. He wanted a car that would break down periodically so his teenage son could learn how to fix cars. The Nissan will be perfect for them.

Ben now drives our '97 Ford Taurus and Brooke drives our new '06 Toyota Sienna. Yes, we're now one of those uncool families that drives a minivan. But we love it! It's the most comfortable vehicle we've owned so far. We will need the extra space for when baby Luke arrives.
